| Few companies have basked in the same sort of fierce brand loyalty that America's great regionally based brewers once enjoyed. Between 1950 and 1980, however, the great plurality of American brewers, along with their beers, began falling to a preponderance of mergers and acquisitions that slowly consumed the industry.
